Gaius Julius. . . , freedman of Caesar, . . . foremost of the Romans, dedicated . . . x denarii . . . to the synod (synodos) for accomplishing the sacrifice. . . to Roma (?). . . and to the goddess (i.e. Artemis) upon the sacred hearth of the city (polis) for the Ephesians each year.

Γάϊον Ἰούλιον Καίσαρος ἀπελε[ύθερον . . . . . . . πρῶ]|τὸν τῶν Ῥωμαίων καθιερώσαν[τα δηνάρια - - - -] | τῆι συνόδωι εἰς τὴν ἐπιτελεσθ[είσαν τῆι Ῥώμηι καὶ] | τῆι θεῶι θυσίαν ἐπὶ τῆς ἱερᾶς ἑσ[τίας τῆς πόλεως τοῖς] || κατ’ ἐνιαυτὸν Ἐφεσήοις.
