bibliography

Two fragments of a block of grey marble (72 x 60 x 26 cm). The term temenos was used for a "sanctuary", so the name of the group is along the lines of "sanctuariasts", here translated "members of the sanctuary-association."

When Metrodoros (?) son of Hermias was treasurer of the gold and Andronikos son of Myonides was secretary, the members of the sanctuary-association (temenizontes) gathered for Apollo, Zeus, and Aphrodite: Zenon son of Asklepiades, Ision son of Apollodoros, Zenon son of Demetrios, Theon son of Zenon, Artemidoros son of Her . . ., Damas son of Dionysios (?), Oiax son of Hekatomnos, Hekataios son of Hekatomnos, Hekatodoros son of Apoll . . .
