Base of white marble (93 x 43cm) found in 1874. In the depot of the Greco-Roman museum at Moustapha Pacha in 1998 (inv M. 135; see IAlexandiaK, pp. 285-286).
The philosophers honoured Aelius Demetrios, the rhetorician, with Flavius Hierax, fellow–banqueter (syssitos), having set up the statue [?] for his… and “father.”
