Tablet with a damaged building inscription found in a funerary monument near Porta Maggiore. Now in Rome, Museo Nazionale Romano, Terme di Diocleziano (inv. 124657). The second part of the inscription was added later, when the tomb was restored.

Tomb of the association (societas) of Greek singers and those who are in this company (sunhodos = synodos) which was built from the common fund. . . (?) Maecenas Mal. . . (or: Name . . . of the tribe Maecia), son of Decimus, master of ceremonies (designator) and patron (patronus) of the company approved it. Marcus Vaccius (?) Theophilus, freedman of Marcus, and Quintus Vibius Simus, freedman of Quintus, head (magister) of the company (sunhodos) of Decumiani, presided over the purchase of a site for a tomb and its construction.

(another hand) Lucius Aurelius Philo, freedman of Lucius, head (magister) for the seventh time of the company of the association (synhodos) of Greek singers and those who are in this company, superintended the restoration from his own funds.
