Broken base. The honors here are granted by a group of immigrants from Herakleia (or, less likely, devotees of Herakles; see also IG XII,1 963 from Chalke island on this site). There are many cities by this name, the closest of which may be Herakleia by Latmos mountain or Herakleia by Salbake mountain, both in Caria. The latter city had previously been in an alliance with the Rhodian power (SIG³ 618). Lycian cities had also previously been under the control of Rhodes.

Name son of Name . . . from Phaselis (in Lycia) has been honored by the association of . . . Herakleians (or, less likely: devotees of Herakles) with a gold crown because of . . . his benefactions (?) . . . towards them.  His wife Timanassas of Tlos (in Lycia) also honored him.
