. . . (beginning of decree missing) . . . he frequently supplies for communal matters. For this reason, in order that the association (koinon) of Sabazios-devotees (Sabaziastai) may demonstrate appropriate thanks, giving back to their chosen benefactors, and many may take the same course of action, observing the thanksgiving by our group to Ariston in ratiyfing this decree, it was resolved by the association of Sabaziasts to praise and to crown perpetually Ariston of Syracuse with an olive crown on account of his virtue and his care concerning the tombs (taphoi). Let the monthly-officers (epimēnioi) or the superintendent (epistatēs) take responsibility for making the proclamation in the banqueting hall (andrōn) each year. . .
