Part of a base of white marble (80 x 60 x 47 cm). Found in 1881 in Sarapis sanctuary C (inv. Ε 442).

Those who wear black (melanēphoroi) and the therapeutists (therapeutai) set this up for Dionysios son of Menios from Paiania subdivision, who was priest (hiereus), on account of the virtue and piety which he has towards the gods and the care which he shows concerning the temple (hieron).  This was dedicated to Sarapis, Isis, Anubis, and Harpokrates.

οἱ μ[ελα]νηφ[όροι κ]αὶ οἱ θερα|πευταὶ Διονύσιον Μηνίου | Παιανιέα, ἱερέα γενόμενον, | ἀρετῆς ἕνεκεν καὶ εὐσεβείας || τῆς εἰς τοὺς θεοὺς καὶ ἐπιμελεί|ας τῆς περὶ τὸ ἱερόν, Σαράπιδι, | Ἴσιδι, Ἀνούβιδι, Ἁρφοκράτει.
