Aurelius Ariston Euklaianos, a good man, a benefactor of the homeland like his ancestors, and a benefit to the People in everything.  Fostering the city (polis) in difficult times, he contributed grain and continually treated others with his remaining good will.  Having served as commander (strategos) in an upright manner,  as director of contests in an honor-seeking manner, as chief of police (eirenarch) in an orderly manner, and as treasurer in a trustworthy manner, he has been praised for how he conducts his life.
