Aphthonetos son of Aphthonetos of the deme Rhamnous made the following motion: Whereas Apollodoros, who was elected as commander (stratēgos), has at all times continued to be well-intentioned towards the People (dēmos) — both individually and collectively — and whereas the People crowned him when it accorded fitting recognition to all those who had been elected as commanders (stratēgoi), on account of which things the Council (boulē) has crowned him many times with gold crowns, and whereas he continues to be of service even individually in respect to whatever any of the citizens might ask him. Now, after those citizens who perform military service in Rhamnous wrote in respect to a place that belonged to him, wishing to purchase it so that they could build a temple to Sarapis and Isis, not only did he not wish to be paid for it, but he even gave it to them without any charge, expressing to the highest degree piety towards the gods and good will and zeal with regard to his fellow citizens. So that the devotees of Sarapis (Sarapiastai) might be seen as rendering appropriate thanks to those who are zealous in respect to them, for good fortune the association of the devotees of Sarapis have resolved to commend Apollodoros son of Sogenes of the deme Otryne and to crown him with a crown of gold, for the piety that he has shown toward the gods and the zeal that he has displayed towards his fellows. They have resolved that the sacrifice makers (hieropoioi) who are responsible for the service (leitourgia) should also invite him to the sacrifices. They have resolved that they should inscribe this decree on a monument (stele) and erect it in front of the entrance to the sanctuary. And they have resolved that they shall choose men from among them who will take responsibility for inscribing the decree and for erecting the monument (stele). Let them make an accounting to the association of the expenses that are incurred. They were chosen as follows: Demokles of the deme Eupyridai, Antiphanes of Oioe, Kleodorides of Rhamnous, Bion of Phrearrhioi, Aphthonetos of Rhamnous, and Philokles of Erchia.
The association of the Sarapiasts honors Apollodoros son of Sogenes, of Otryne.
