The Athenian, Roman, and other Greek settlers (katoikountes) on Delos and the merchants (emporoi) and shippers (nauklēroi) set this up for . . . Maraeus Gerillanus (?) . . . son of Maraeus, Roman working as a banker on Delos, because of his virtue and generosity towards them.  This was dedicated to Apollo.

[Μαραῖον Γερι]λ̣λανὸν Μαραίου υἱὸν | [Ῥωμαῖ]ο̣ν, τραπεζιτεύοντα ἐν Δήλωι, | [Ἀθηνα]ῖ̣οι καὶ Ῥωμαῖοι καὶ οἱ λοιποὶ | [Ἕλλ]ηνες οἱ κατοικοῦντες ἐν Δήλωι || [κ]α̣ὶ̣ ἔμποροι καὶ ναύκληροι, ἀρετῆς | ἕνεκεν καὶ καλοκἀγαθίας, Ἀπόλλωνι.
