Base (213 x 74-85 cm). Zeus Solymeus was a deity associated with Mount Solymos; this is likely an indigenous deity identified with Zeus. The Termessians themselves were also known as Solymians (cf. Strabo, Geography 13.4.16).

The leather-working artisans (techneitai skyteis) in (or: opposite) the city (polis) set this up for their own benefactor, the life-long priest of the goddess Roma Augusta and Zeus Solymeus (“of Mount Solymos”), Marcus Aurelius Meidianos Varus.
