The Council and the People honored Claudia Paulina, daughter of Claudius Paulinus the commander of the cavalry (hipparchos), civic president, overseer of the market, treasurer, chair of the Council, head of the gymnasium, commander (strategos) of the army, temple-warden, registrar, member on the board of ten, and secretary of the Olympic contests.  The hymn-singers (hymnōdoi) from the elders’ organization (gerousia) and her brother, Claudius Paulianus, made preparation for the honor and set up the two images of Claudia Paulina – one silver and the other gold – in the temple.
