bibliography

Base of white marble (75 x 55 x 50 cm). Found in Sarapieion C (inv. Ε 390).

Those who wear black (melanēphoroi) set this up for Neon son of Hermokrates from Leukonion subdivision, who was priest, on account of his virtue and piety.  This was dedicated to Sarapis, Isis, Anubis, and Harpokrates when Demophilos son of Polykles from Alopeke subdivision was priest (hiereus).

Hephaistion son Myron, Athenian, made this.
