Two fragments of a marble slab.

(missing lines). . . Because of these things, . . . the People honored him (?). . . with great (?) honors.  In order that the society-members (thiasitai) may also appear to be . . . doing good themselves (?). . . and pursuing honor as best and . . . most noble (?). . . in accordance with customary . . . honors, it was resolved (?). . . by them . . . through this decree to crown (?). . . Ariston son of Ariston, the benefactor of the People and honor-loving person towards the society (thiasos) . . . . in every meeting (synodos) each day and forever (?).  Now this decree is to be engraved on a monument of white stone (?) . . . (remainder missing).
