bibliography

Apphia, mother of Papias, made the tomb from her own resources for her son Hesychos, leader of the merchants (enporiarchēs).  His companions (synbiōtai; i.e. likely members of a merchant association) and thirty-two others were anxious (to remember him).  Farewell good hero!
