Farewell Chariton son of Menippos, good hero!  Farewell Menippos son of Chariton and Artemeis son of Myonides, good heroes!  The sacred-victors (hieronikai) and crowned-victors (stephanitai) from the world and the elders’ organization (gerousia) honored Menippos son of Chariton, a good man who was head of the gymnasium by himself in a glory-loving manner.
