Soa was located east of Aizanoi, about half-way between Aizanoi and Metropolis.

Menophanes son of Teimolaos dedicated the altar to Zeus Bennios on behalf of the emperor Nerva Trajan Caesar Augustus, who was victorious in Germany and Dacia, for (?) the devotees of Bennios (Benneisoēnoi).
