bibliography

IDelos 2085: Plaque of grey marble (47 x 41 x 18-21 cm). Found in 1881 in Sarapis sanctuary C (inv. Ε 421).
IDelos 2086: Marble stone in the museum at Verona. The text of the inscription is identical but with different line breaks. Evidently, the two inscriptions were displayed in two parts of the structure or perhaps one outside and one inside.

(no. 2085)

Theophilos son of Theophilos from Antioch, a member of those who wear black (melanēphoros), dedicated the plastering of the shrine-bearing room (pastophoreion), the painting of the walls and the ceiling, the encaustic painting of the doors and the preparatory work for the walls and the woodwork upon them to Sarapis, Isis, Anubis and Harpokrates.  This was done when Seleukos son of Andronikos from Rhamnous subdivision was priest (hiereus).

(no. 2086)
