Drum of white marble (53 x 39 cm diameter). Found in 1909 in the sanctuary of the Syrian Pure Goddess, Atargatis (inv. Ε 602). The candle-holder or menorah may have been placed on top of the drum.
The priest of Pure Aphrodite, Gaius son of Gaius from Acharnai subdivision, the basket-bearer (kanēphoros) Nikopolis daughter of Gaius from Acharnai subdivision, and the therapeutists (therapeutai) dedicated the candle-holder (namaran = menārā; i.e. a Syrian term) to Pure Aphrodite as a thanksgiving.
