bibliography

Bench found in Sarapis sanctuary A (Sarapieion A). "The ones who serve" the deities (therapeuontes) are either a board attached to the temple or an association of devotees. Three other similar bench dedications (RICIS 202/0116-0119 = IG XI,4 1218-1221) do not mention the ones who serve but are likely closely related.

The ones who serve (therapeuontes) in this temple dedicated this to Sarapis, Isis, and Anubis using the revenues (synodoi), when Demetrios son of Diallos was supervisor (epimelētēs).
