bibliography

Circular paving slab of marble. Found re-purposed in the central basilica. This is likely a pavement stone from the earlier Judean synagogue of Stobi which is referred to in another inscription on this site: see AGRW 46 = GRA I 73 = IJO I Mac1 = CIJ 694.

Alexander the manager (phrontistēs) built the covered walkway of the holy gathering (or: synagogue; synagōgē).   A blessing for everyone.
