bibliography

Duchesme discusses this inscription in an article on Christian graves, but does not justify the identification of this grave as Christian. This may involve an ongoing association of friends (whether Christian or not).

The friends (philoi) set this up for Apollonios son of Python, the high-priest, for the sake of remembrance.
