The merchants (ergastai) of the slave market and the slave–brokers (proxenētai) honoured and set up a statue of Alexandros son of Alexandros, slave–merchant (sōmatemporos), who has served as director of the market for a four month period in an upright manner and who has given extravagantly from his own resources to the city during the days of the festivals of the Augusti (Sebastoi).
