For good fortune! The Council and the People honored . . . Name son of Makedon, a noble, good and patriotic man, who has served as chief of police in a remarkable manner, market-overseer in a brilliant and glory-loving manner for six months, commander in a pure and careful manner, and member of the Board of Ten. He has also supplied all the other needs of the city zealously. The dyers (bapheis) set up this honor from their own resources when Apollonios son of Apollonios was supervisor (epimelētēs).
