Fragment of a slab of marble found built into the steps of a house in the village of Kermeti (37 x 39 x 9 cm)
The association of performers gathered around Dionysos resolved: Whereas Epikles son of . . . Theudoros, citizen of Kos, demonstrates all forms of (?) . . . eagerness and pursuit of honor. . . towards the association of performers gathered around (?) . . . Dionysos, and he continues to supply the needs of all those who meet with him, it was resolved by the association of performers: to praise Epikles son of Theudoros, citizen of Kos; to crown him with a crown according to our custom because of the virtue and goodwill which he has towards the performers; and, to choose two ambassadors from all the performers who, going to Kos, will deliver the decree and invite the Koans who are friends of the association (?) . . .
