bibliography

Base of white marble on the site of Delos (inv. E 501). The association, which evidently celebrates on the ninth day of the month, met in Sarapis sanctuary B (Sarapieion B). The inscription, including the list of leaders and members, is identical to IG XI,4 1229 with the exception of the dedication to the goddess Isis alone.

This was dedicated to Isis by the association of ninth-day celebrators (enatistai), who are Dionysios son of Noumenios from Kassandreia (in Macedonia), the head of the society (archithiasitēs), Apollonios the secretary (grammateus) who is a member of those who wear black (melanēphoros), Mnason, Athenion, Komos, Ariston, Rhodippos, Hegias, Apollonios, Dionysios, Philostratos, Demetrios, Straton, Sosistratos, Aristoboulos, Aphrodisios, Diopeithes, Phidias, Drakon, Aischrion, Apollonios, Aphrodisios, Agathokles, Baliton, Asklepiades, Diodoros.

(In a crown:) The association of society-members crowned Dionysios, the head of the society, because of his virtue, his piety towards the gods, and his generosity (literally: love of honor) towards the society-members

(In another crown:) The association of society-members crowned Apollonios the secretary who is a member of those who wear black.
