Architraves from the stoa of the Berytians (inv. Ε 114 δ).

The association of Berytian Poseidoniast (Poseidoniastai) merchants (emporoi), shippers (nauklēroi), and warehousemen (egdocheis) set up the building (oikos), the stoa, and the oracles for the ancestral gods.

    Hello,

    This entry seems confused. Whereas the Greek and translation fit one another, the image is of another inscription repeating the first part of the formula and naming a specific patron – one Dionysios. In most literature, iDelos 1774 is cited as the inscription on the building’s exterior. I think the photograph is of a statue base, iDelos 1779.

      Hello Becky. Thanks so much for noticing this mistake in identifying the photograph. You are right that the photo is a close-up for IDelos 1779, and so I have moved that to where it belongs.
